Tabitha Foundation for the Less Privileged was born from a passion to restore hope, empower lives, and transform communities through practical acts of service.
Tabitha Foundation for the Less Privileged was established with a passion for humanitarian service and a belief that vulnerable people deserve more than short-term relief: they deserve practical opportunities to rebuild their lives with dignity and confidence.
That belief continues to shape the Foundation’s direction today. Through empowerment, capacity building, mentorship, humanitarian interventions and sustainable development initiatives, we work to help people discover their potential, acquire relevant skills and move toward greater socio-economic independence.
Tabitha Foundation for the Less Privileged was born from a passion to restore hope, empower lives, and transform communities through practical acts of service.
Our journey began in 2012, when our founders started organizing community development initiatives under Living Concept Enterprise, a registered business name. At the time, we were advised to operate under a business registration because we did not yet meet the requirements for registering a nonprofit organization.
Over the years, our commitment to community service continued to grow. Between 2012 and 2023, we successfully organized more than six skill acquisition and empowerment programmes across different communities. These initiatives equipped participants with practical vocational skills, inspired self-reliance, and created opportunities for sustainable livelihoods. Through workshops, seminars, and empowerment programmes, we touched lives and strengthened communities.
As our vision expanded beyond business activities into structured humanitarian service, we resolved to establish a nonprofit organization. In 2021, we commenced the process of registering as an NGO. Although our preferred name was not approved by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), this challenge gave birth to a new identity
Tabitha Foundation for the Less Privileged.
Today, Tabitha Foundation proudly continues the legacy that began in 2012, now operating with a broader humanitarian mandate. We are committed to restoring hope to the less privileged, empowering individuals through skill acquisition and self-development, and creating lasting opportunities that transform lives and communities.
Our story is one of growth, resilience, and unwavering dedication. What started as a vision to make a difference has evolved into a foundation driven by compassion, integrity, and the belief that every individual deserves the opportunity to thrive.
As we look to the future, we remain steadfast in our mission to build stronger communities, empower vulnerable populations, and inspire lasting social change—one life, one family, and one community at a time.
To build a society where vulnerable and less privileged individuals are empowered to live productive, purposeful and economically independent lives.
To improve the quality of life of vulnerable and less privileged individuals through humanitarian interventions, skills acquisition, self-development programmes, mentorship and sustainable empowerment initiatives that promote dignity, self-reliance and community development
Vulnerability is rarely caused by one problem alone. A person may need immediate support, but they may also need employable skills, business knowledge, mentoring, confidence, networks or a clearer pathway into work and economic participation.
Our response is therefore designed around both care and capacity. We seek to meet people with compassion while creating opportunities that can continue to matter long after a single intervention has ended.
The Foundation’s profile describes an approach that goes beyond temporary assistance. Our work now spans skills acquisition and vocational training, entrepreneurship and business development, leadership and personal development, talent discovery and mentorship, youth and women empowerment, career development, knowledge-sharing events, community outreach and economic empowerment.
These programme areas are connected by a common purpose: to help people move from vulnerability toward capability, opportunity and self-reliance.
Every person has worth, rights, potential and a voice in their own development.
Skills, knowledge, confidence and opportunity can help people create more sustainable futures.
Government, businesses, institutions, communities, volunteers and donors can combine resources and expertise for greater impact.
Trust depends on responsible stewardship, openness and evidence.
Programmes should strengthen self-reliance, leadership, livelihoods and continued community development.
If you are looking for a programme, want to volunteer your expertise, represent an institution seeking a credible partnership, or want to support practical empowerment, there is a pathway to participate.
